Ultrasound / Sonography

With ultrasound diagnostics (also referred to as sonography or echography) images of the internal structures of body are created by means of acoustic waves. On the monitor the doctor can immediately see organs and tissues and verify possible changes, e. g. tumors or metastases.

The examination is completely pain-free, there is no radiation exposure. We also use ultrasound for targeted tissue sampling (biopsies, respectively punctures).
